CBS renews ‘NCIS’ for another season

A world with more Gibbs? Heck yeah, says CBS.

The network announced Wednesday that it’ll be bringing back ‘NCIS’ for the 2011-2012 season.

Not too surprising considering Tuesday’s episode delivered an impressive audience of nearly 23 million viewers, and also earned its best adult 18-49 rating (4.6/12) since October 2009, according to the network.

The crime drama premiered in 2003 as a spinoff to the long-running drama “JAG.”
