Ninth-ranked UCLA has played third-ranked Stanford even through the first half of a Pacific 10 Conference women’s basketball game at Pauley Pavilion.
The Bruins, taking advantage of the absence of Stanford forward Nnemkadi Ogumike, are tied with the Cardinal, 28-28.
When the teams played in January, Stanford used several runs to blow out the Bruins, 64-38.
This time, the Bruins have never trailed by more than five points. And senior guard Darxia Morris has made three three-pointers, one that gave the Bruins the lead with just under five minutes left in the half and another with nine seconds remaining to tie the score.
