Boys’ basketball: The favorites keep winning

In case no one has noticed, every No.1 seed is still alive in the Southern Section boys’ playoffs. In fact, in the top six divisions, the highest unseeded team still alive is No. 7 Cerritos Gahr.
The lack of upsets is very unusual. There have been far more upsets in the girls’ tournament.
It means most of the divisions had three or four teams that were much better than everyone else. Of course, the semifinals are Friday, and we’ll see if the No. 1 seeds continue their success.
