SIX THEATERS OUTSIDE NEW YORK NOMINATED FOR REGIONAL TONY

HOUSTON — The American Theater Critics Assn. has nominated six theaters outside New York for the 1986 Regional Theater Tony Award, including one in San Francisco.
The winner will be announced when nominations are made public for the Broadway Antoinette Perry Awards by the League of American Theaters and Producers on Monday. The presentation of the Tony and an award of $15,000 to the winning regional theater will be made on the national television broadcast of the Tony Award ceremonies in New York June 1, said Ann Holmes, chairman of the American Theater Critics Tony Award committee.
Nominated in the regional theater category are American Repertory Theater, Cambridge, Mass.; Center Stage, Baltimore; Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Milwaukee; San Francisco Mime Troupe, San Francisco; Syracuse Stage, Syracuse, N.Y.; and Whole Theater Company, Montclair, N.J.
