A Northridge father of three convicted of molesting two girls, ages 7 and 9, was sentenced to 12 years in state prison Wednesday.
Luis Umberto Pinedo, 34, pleaded for a shorter sentence and said he would “stop drinking and be a good father to my children.” But San Fernando Superior Court Judge Dana Senit Henry refused the request.
Pinedo was convicted in December of molesting the 9-year-old while baby-sitting the girl at his Tampa Avenue home in July of last year. The 7-year-old was molested two days earlier when she was playing with Pinedo’s three daughters at the family home, investigators said.
