An autopsy determined that a body found in the back seat of an abandoned car was that of Marie Andrea Malmgreen, 38, of Brea, the wife of a Los Angeles police sergeant. The cause of her death was not immediately determined. The woman had not been seen since she dropped off her 16-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son at the Eastside Christian School in Fullerton on April 22. The light blue Cadillac was found in a dirt lot not far from the school, police said. Investigators still do not know if the woman’s death is connected with her husband’s work. Sgt. Russell Malmgreen, 40, judicial liaison officer for Chief Daryl F. Gates, had worked in the department’s Anti-Terrorist Division until two months ago.
