A veteran Los Angeles police officer was charged today with 23 felony counts in the alleged molestation of four teen-age girls, including four counts of raping one girl while she was intoxicated and taking nude pictures of her.
Albert W. Cunningham, 37, who will be arraigned later today, was arrested after an investigation by the LAPD’s Internal Affairs division. Deputy Dist. Atty. Al Albergate said the charges stem from sexual abuse that allegedly took place in Cunningham’s former home in Canyon Country from 1980 to 1984. He declined to reveal the girls’ relationship to Cunningham.
