Culver City : Calgary Chosen as Sister City

The City Council has chosen Calgary, Ontario, as its fourth sister city, making Culver City the only American city to have a sister-city relationship with a Canadian city, according to the city staff.
The Sister City Committee, a nonprofit group in charge of the program, recommended Calgary at the request of some Canadians who live in Culver City, the staff reported.

The Times last week incorrectly said that Culver City’s new Canadian sister city, Calgary, is in the province of Ontario. It is in Alberta.
Calgary joins Uruapan, Mexico; Kaizuka, Japan, and Iri City, South Korea, in Culver City’s program, which offers free meals and lodging in Culver City for visitors from each city.
