Yorba Linda : Mayor’s Molestation Trial to Start July 22
- Share via
A jury trial for Mayor Michael Beverage, charged with molesting his stepson, was set Thursday for July 22 in North Municipal Court in Fullerton.
From an original seven misdemeanor counts filed April 16, 1985, only one count remains against the city official, said his attorney, Jeffrey Friedman.
Beverage is charged with annoying and molesting his 18-year-old stepson, who was 17 at the time of the alleged incidents.
The young man now lives with an aunt and an uncle, Friedman said. Beverage lives with his wife, the young man’s mother. He has no other children, Friedman said.
