Vladimir Horowitz’s Concert in Moscow

Now that Vladimir Horowitz has performed in Russia, I wish we could get Ivan Rebroff back here.
I heard Ivan Rebroff at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach in the spring of 1979, and I have longed to hear him again ever since then.
Ivan Rebroff, European basso, of Russian parentage, sings the old Russian folk songs so soulfully, so expressively, and with such incredible beauty that I feel I’m in music heaven when I listen.
I have his records, but seeing him in person is so much better. Come to think of it, I don’t even know if he’s still alive, but I am--although I’m aging fast.
I hope we can have the joy of hearing him again in Long Beach.
