Foley of Newport Harbor Will Lead South Team in All-Star Football Game

Newport Harbor High School quarterback Shane Foley, who established a county career passing record last fall, heads the selections for the South team in the Orange County All-Star football game scheduled for July 11 in LeBard Stadium.
Foley threw for 5,264 yards during two seasons. Among his receivers will be Capistrano Valley’s Nathan Call, who ranks fourth in the county for single-season receptions with 73.
The game, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Orange Coast College, will benefit Help for Brain Injured Children (HBIC), Western Youth Services, Children’s Home Society and the Cerebral Palsy Assn. of Orange County. Tickets, $4 in advance and $5 at the game, are tax deductible.
