Los Angeles Pierce Wins State Volleyball Title

Los Angeles Pierce College (18-0) beat Golden West in the community college state volleyball championship match, 15-9, 15-11, 13-15, 16-14, Friday night in Santa Barbara.
It was the third consecutive time the Rustlers have lost in the state finals.
Golden West (12-6) advanced to the finals by defeating Santa Barbara City in the semifinals, 17-15, 9-15, 13-15, 15-4, 15-1, Friday afternoon. Tim McLaughlin had 58 assists in the semifinals and 48 in the finals for the Rustlers.
