‘War Wimps’

The letter from Art Kaplan (April 5) regarding “War Wimps” succinctly states the views of my family, many of my friends and me. We have often discussed the prevalence of such people in both the government and the super-wealthy circles of our nation. The idea that this country is being run by a bunch of “draft dodgers and goldbrickers” from both the World War II and Korean War eras is frightening.
As they wave their flags and attempt to intimidate those who object to this country’s becoming more an aggressor than mediator or negotiator, they can be assured that those of us accused of non-patriotism will do our best to see them, their children and their grandchildren first on the battle lines they are so eagerly creating.
