Laser Precision Shows Turnaround in Earnings

Increased sales helped pave the way for a turnaround at Laser Precision Corp., which on Monday reported first-quarter net earnings of $52,110, compared with a loss of $245,280 a year ago.
Revenues for the Irvine-based manufacturer of measuring instruments for use in fiber optic telecommunications and laser research rose 42% to $2.7 million, from $1.9 million for the first quarter of 1985.
