Titan Unit Wins Navy Contract for $3.6 Million

Titan Severe Environment Systems of Chatsworth has received a one-year, $3.6-million contract to develop a memory system for the Control Data military computer systems used in Navy aircraft.
The division also announced it has received a three-month, $1.3-million contract from Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, for computer modification kits. The equipment will help increase the memory capacity of computers used in Air Force planes.
Titan Severe Environment Systems makes memory systems and computers for the military that are intended to withstand extreme conditions created by heat, vibration and shock. It is a subsidiary of La Jolla-based Titan Corp.
