HANDS ACROSS GROUP STOPS RADIO OFFER

Hands Across America organizers say they are no longer offering portable transistor radios as a premium for the $35 pledge toward their May 25 fund-raiser against hunger and homelessness.
The $35 pledge still buys a place in the transnational line, a commemorative certificate, a Hands Across America T-shirt, a commemorative pin and sun visor, organizers said.
