Southern Section Badminton Playoffs : Kennedy Beats Diamond Bar to Advance

Boys’ singles player Sam Yoo and girls’ singles player Michelle Nook won two matches to lead Kennedy High School to a 12-7 victory over Diamond Bar Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section 3-A division badminton playoffs in La Palma.
Yoo and Nook also won a mixed doubles match, and the boys’ doubles team of Sean Seto and Nelson Rojas won their match to clinch the victory. Kennedy advanced to the semifinals on Thursday against Colton at a site to be determined today.
