Moody’s raised some Wells Fargo & Co. ratings.

Moody’s Investors Service said it based its decision on the expectation that the San Francisco bank’s merger with Crocker National Bank “will substantially improve profitability.” It raised the senior debt rating to AA3 from A1, the rating of subordinated debt to A1 from A2 and preferred stock to AA3 from A2.
