French Selected CIF Scholar Athlete of the Year

Todd French, a football and baseball star at Canyon High School, has been named the California Interscholastic Federation’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for 1985-86.

French, a 17-year-old senior, was the starting quarterback for the Comanches and a catcher on the baseball squad. He also maintained a 4.0 grade point average. Sara Lillevand of Bishop O’Dowd in Oakland was the girls’ recipient.
