Proposed Tax on Pet Products

I just finished reading Morrison’s article. Every time I hear individuals tell me they are letting their pet have a litter to “experience the miracle of birth” it makes my blood boil.

I think a field trip should be required for all school children--perhaps fifth and sixth graders with some grasp of reality--to an animal shelter to learn about the fate of unwanted animals, and perhaps, hopefully, become an informed responsible pet owner as an adult. I’m sure it’s an experience that would not be soon forgotten.
