The body of an unidentified woman was found Friday morning in an East San Diego dumpster, police said.
The body, described by authorities as a black woman about 20 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 152 pounds, was discovered in a dumpster behind apartments in the 4400 block of 51st Street by a man who was searching for aluminum cans.
This is the third time a woman’s body has been found since January in dumpsters in the East San Diego area, police said. Coroners have not determined the cause of death of the latest victim, although police said Friday the she apparently had been strangled.
