Cal Lutheran Beats Southern Utah in Softball Playoffs

Michelle McCaslin scored the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning Friday to give Cal Lutheran a 2-1 victory over Southern Utah State in the second game of the National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics bi-district softball playoffs in Cedar City, Utah.
Southern Utah won the first game of the doubleheader, 4-1.
The teams will play again today in the deciding game of the best-of-three series to determine who will go to the 16-team national tournament, May 15-17 in San Antonio, Texas.
McCaslin, a junior third baseman from Moorpark College, was 3 for 4 in each game.
