Orange Lutheran Tops Brethren, 12-2

Chris Hunt went 2 for 4 with four RBIs and Jeff Ward added two hits and an RBI Friday to lead Orange Lutheran High School to a 12-2 victory over Brethren in an Olympic League game played on the Lancers’ field.
Orange Lutheran, which reached the Southern Section 1-A semifinals last year, will meet Maranatha today at 10 a.m. at Gahr High School to determine the league’s third-place representative in this year’s tournament.
Jeff Simmons pitched four innings to earn the win for Orange Lutheran, which improved to 9-5 in the league and 12-10 overall.
