A 28-year-old Canoga Park woman was shot in the head Saturday and her male roommate was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.
Karen Roney was in critical condition Saturday night at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where she was taken by paramedics responding to the 8 a.m. shooting at a home in the 20500 block of Archwood Street, said West Valley Division Detective Paul Stewart.
Stewart said Donald Arcos, 37, who lived with Roney, was being held without bail in the West Valley Division jail.
Investigators seized a handgun, which they believe was used in the shooting, Stewart said. No motive for the incident was known.
