A San Francisco gay bathhouse, closed 1 1/2 years ago by health officials who feared the spread of AIDS, is expected to reopen as an Episcopal shelter July 1. Club Baths, which could accommodate 800 customers at its peak, was one of 14 bathhouses ordered closed. Episcopal Church officials, soon to sign a long-term lease, said they plan to use the bathhouse to shelter 200 indigents.
