Griffin Homes today opens a development that will eventually comprise 160 single-family homes in the Antelope Valley city of Palmdale, whose population is expected by its planners to double by 1990.
The initial phase of Griffin Santa Fe contains 42 three- and four-bedroom homes with two and 2 1/2 baths in four, one- and two-story floor plans ranging in size from 1,220 to 1,840 square feet. Seventeen have been sold for $96,950 to $116,950.
Features include separate family rooms, dining rooms, breakfast nooks, bonus rooms in two plans, ceramic-tile entries, wood-burning fireplaces and luminous ceilings and greenhouse windows in kitchens.
The homes also offer two- and three-car garages, concrete driveways, front-yard landscaping and side- and rear-yard fencing. August move-ins are expected for the first phase.
Four furnished models are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 38227 North 5th St. West, reached from the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway by the westbound Palmdale Boulevard exit.
