A downtown Long Beach location is featured in the 78-unit Goldengate Square condominium development opening today. One- and two-bedroom units are priced from $68,000 to $119,000.
Six floor plans with 648 to 1,264 square feet are offered in the $7-million project by Irvine-based Development Research.
Features in the development near the planned World Trade Center include lofts in many of the penthouse-level units, ceramic tile or parquet entries, interior laundry areas, subterranean parking and elevators. The one-bedroom units have 1 1/2 baths, while the two-bedroom ones have two baths.
A monthly homeowners association fee of $92 pays for common area maintenance, including a exercise room and a media room with television and stereo equipment.
Completion is scheduled for July. Two furnished models are open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, except Friday, at 730 West 4th St., reached from the Broadway exit of the Long Beach (710) Freeway.
