USD Sweeps St. Mary’s for Best Finish Since 1982

SAN DIEGO — The University of San Diego swept a doubleheader from St. Mary’s Saturday, ending the season above .500 for the first time since 1982. The Toreros finished 6-18 in the West Coast Athletic Assn. 26-25-2 overall. St. Mary’s is 8-16 in league, 17-37 overall.
Torero starter Dan Newman pitched a three-hit complete game in the first game as USD won, 7-1.
