Cal Lutheran Softball Season Ends in Utah

CEDAR CITY, Utah — The Cal Lutheran softball team ended its season Saturday, losing, 3-0, to Southern Utah State in the final round of the National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics Bi-District tournament.
The Regals weren’t without their chances, however. Cal Lutheran outhit Southern Utah, 8-6, but stranded 10 baserunners.
Southern Utah (29-10) advanced to the NAIA championship tournament in San Antonio, Texas. Cal Lutheran ended its season 30-10.
In games played Friday, Cal Lutheran beat Southern Utah, 2-1, and lost an earlier game to the same team, 4-1.
