Color True Art

The Los Angeles Times is constantly improving without sacrificing its time-honored standards as a great newspaper. It is using color which is not garish but true art (April 12, Part II).
Cheryl Addams’ nostalgic “Up a Lazy River Down Under” should bring many people to the Murray River in Australia this year. Many vacationers will come to ride on the river boats wans to view the red gum trees and willows. In so doing they will absorb something of the river’s history.
History is extremely important, the history of the United States and the history of other nations. We may learn a lot of history by travel if we seek to learn. What better place to read a good book on Australia than on a river boat?
