Still Remembering

Re the Travel Section of April 20: As age creeps up on me I’m becoming more and more an armchair traveler, and delight in your articles about place I’ve been but may never see again. In Denmark I touched “The Little Mermaid” before she was decapitated and repaired, I still remember the cold touch of her.
As for Hoover Dam, I stood on the rim of the canyon and watched the building of that dam in 1933. It was called Boulder Dam then, and Boulder City was in its skeletal beginnings. Years later I took my two sons to see Hoover Dam, and we camped in a tent nearby overnight.
Thanks for the memories.
