Vista

A 6-year-old Vista boy, Geoffrey Trevor Lloyd, died Monday afternoon after being struck by a car near his Barsby Street home. Geoffrey and another boy were riding a three-wheeled cycle out of a driveway and into the street when they were hit, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said. Geoffrey died at Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside. The other child, Samuel McClellan, 6, was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital by Life Flight helicopter and later transferred to Children’s Hospital, where he was reported in fair condition late Monday. He suffered a broken arm and facial abrasions.
