Pitcher Alex Sanchez and infielder Torey Lovullo, members of UCLA, the Pacific 10 Southern Division champion, have been named the division’s co-Players of the Year.

Sanchez, a sophomore, had a 16-2 record, with a 4.06 earned-run average and 134 strikeouts in 130 innings.

Lovullo, a junior, hit .323, with 16 homers and 65 runs batted in during UCLA’s 60 games.

Bruin Coach Gary Adams, whose club finished the regular season with a 39-21 overall record and 21-9 conference mark, was named Coach of the Year.
