Golf Teams Advance to Section Meet

Esperanza High School’s golf team placed second and El Dorado’s team placed third in the Southern Regionals at the Green River Country Club Monday to advance, along with winner Long Beach Wilson, to the CIF Southern Section Championships. Long Beach Wilson won the team match with a score of 382. Esperanza had 383, and El Dorado 388.

Jason Bittick’s 73 made him low man for Esperanza.

In the Central Regionals at Chino Creek, Sunny Hills advanced to the section championships by placing second, shooting a 384, eight strokes behind winner La Canada.

The Lancers’ Dan Yury placed second with a 72 on the par-72 course. Teammate Joon Lee was third with a 73.
