Books that were due on the date of the fire, April 29, or later will not be considered overdue if returned to a branch by Thursday. Books hat were overdue on April 29 will be charged fines only to that date if returned by Thursday.
Books may be returned either to branches of the Los Angeles Public Library or to any member library of the Metropolitan Cooperative Library System, an association of 28 library systems in the greater Los Angeles area. Information about MCLS libraries is available at (818)798-1146.
Central Library reports that its circulation records, including those from the day of the fire were saved.
