The former principal of the 68th Street Elementary School in South-Central Los Angeles, where Terry E. Bartholome taught, testified at Bartholome’s child molestation trial in Los Angeles Superior Court that she first heard a complaint about him from a parent in November, 1983--18 months before the teacher was arrested. But Alice McDonald, now a school district administrative consultant, was not asked in detail about this or other conversations with students and parents, because such testimony was ruled irrelevant to the allegations against Bartholome. He is charged with 32 felonies and 13 misdemeanors involving 17 children.
