SOUTHERN SECTION BASEBALL PLAYOFFS : Shinall Leads El Segundo Past Savanna

Zac Shinall pitched a four-hitter to lead El Segundo High School to a 6-2 win over Savanna in the opening round of the CIF Southern Section 3-A baseball playoffs Thursday night in El Segundo.

Jose Sanchez had a two-run double in the first and Scott Talanoa added a solo home run in the sixth for El Segundo (24-5-1). The Orange League third-place Rebels end the season 7-14.
