Mosqueda Breaks Own 5,000-Meter Record

Sylvia Mosqueda of East Los Angeles College set a national community college record of 15:52.2 in the 5,000-meter run Friday night on the first day of the State championships at Mt. San Antonio College. Mosqueda set the old record of 16:26.2 earlier this year.
Finals in all events, except the women’s 5,000 and the men’s 10,000, will be held today, starting at 4 p.m.
