Huntington Beach Team Loses in Volleyball

Huntington Beach’s SBE/Raymond Construction lost to Molten of Los Angeles, 15-10, 15-8, in the winner’s bracket finals of the U.S. Volleyball Assn. National Championships in Wichita, Kan., Friday.
Steve Timmons had 16 kills in SBE/Raymond Construction’s first loss in the four days of competition. The Huntington Beach team faces Banana Boat of Los Angeles in the consolation bracket finals today. The winner of that match will play Molten for the title.
