KCET Channel 28 has received a grant from Du Pont Co. to join with the BBC in producing “Discoveries Underwater,” a documentary series about searching for sunken ships and treasures, the public TV station said Monday.
The series will consist of eight one-hour programs and premiere on the Public Broadcasting Service in the fall of 1987, a KCET spokesman said.
The amount of the grant from Du Pont was not disclosed, but it will cover the costs of securing the U.S. rights and helping with the production and promotion of the series, the spokesman said.
