Peggy Allen, Former Supervisor’s Wife, Dies at 88

Peggy Allen, the wife of former county Supervisor Alton E. Allen, has died in Laguna Beach after a long illness. She was 88.
Her husband, who served as a supervisor from 1963 to 1970, said that his wife died last Friday. Her remains were cremated and there were no services.
Mrs. Allen was born in 1898 in Pasadena and moved to Laguna Beach with her husband in 1955. The couple were married for 62 years.
Besides her husband, she was survived by a son, Jack Allen of South Laguna, and a daughter, Barbara Jean Wells of Alexandria, Va., and two grandchildren.
