The prosecutor in the San Rafael, Calif., trial of former fugitive Stephen Bingham, who is accused of slipping guns and ammunition to black militant George Jackson at San Quentin Prison in 1971, said he has decided not to call a New York woman to testify in the case. Marin County Assistant Dist. Atty. Terry Boren said he will not subpoena Lynn Urbank Wilson after he was told she would invoke the Fifth Amendment if called to testify. The woman allegedly knew of Jackson’s plans to break out of San Quentin before the bloody attempt on Aug. 21, 1971. Bingham, 44, is being tried on two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy for allegedly slipping a pistol to Jackson, who was killed during the attempted breakout along with three guards and two inmate trusties.
