Duffy’s Back and So Are Ratings

NEW YORK — Three prime-time soaps, led by Patrick Duffy’s return to “Dallas” in a tantalizingly brief shower scene, climbed into the Top 10 last week, according to A.C. Nielsen Co. figures released today.

But NBC, with no serials on its schedule, still won the week of May 12-18 by placing its four Thursday night comedies in the Top 10. The much-hyped “Dallas” on CBS was the big serial winner, ranking third. The series-ending episode of CBS’ “Knots Landing” was 10th and the next-to-last installment of ABC’s “Dynasty” was ninth.
