USIU Signs 5 Players for Women’s Volleyball

SAN DIEGO — The United States International University women’s volleyball team, hoping to improve on this season’s 13-18 record, announced the signing of five players Monday.

Included are two players with international experience, setter Renan Komourcouglu of Istanbul, Turkey, and outside hitter Ximena Fajardo of Bogota, Columbia. Also signed were defensive specialist Cyndy Kuhter of Anaheim; middle blocker Jill Myers of Fountain Valley; and middle blocker Cherylynn Sorenson, a transfer from El Camino College.
