Local News in Brief : North Hollywood Man Found Beaten to Death

A North Hollywood man was found beaten to death in his apartment, police said Tuesday.
Officers were called to the 6200 block of Lankershim Boulevard at 4:55 p.m. Sunday by Bennie Carmack, 39, said Detective Sgt. Ray Davies. Carmack said he returned to his apartment to find his roommate, Robert Frank Gustafson, 39, dead on the floor, Davies said.
An autopsy showed that Gustafson died from blows to his body, Davies said.
Investigators have no suspects, know no motive and do not know when the killing occurred, he said.
