San Diegans for Managed Growth, the coalition of community planning groups and environmentalists that sponsored Proposition A, announced Wednesday that it is endorsing Maureen O’Connor for mayor.
“We are impressed with Maureen O’Connor’s knowledge of and sensitivity to our concerns,” said David Kreitzer, chairman of the group.
The organization, which favors slow growth in San Diego, announced its decision after a careful review of the voting records and campaign platforms of the candidates, Bill Cleator and O’Connor, Kreitzer said.
