Orange County Teams Hit the Road Friday for Baseball Quarterfinals

Several Orange County teams will be on the road Friday in quarterfinal rounds of the Southern Section baseball playoffs.
In the 4-A division, Ocean View High School, which eliminated Loara Tuesday, will travel to Simi Valley to play the top-seeded Pioneers, and fourth-seeded Esperanza, which eliminated San Gorgonio Tuesday, will be at Rowland High. El Dorado, which beat Bishop Amat Tuesday, won a coin flip and will play host to Camarillo.
In the only Orange County matchup, Western will play Tustin on the Tillers’ field in a 3-A quarterfinal. Fullerton will travel to El Segundo Friday night at 7:30 to play the Eagles at Recreation Park in another 3-A game. (All other games are at 3:15 p.m.)
In the 2-A division, Irvine will play Artesia at Cerritos College, and Mission Viejo will play host to Diamond Bar in a rematch of last year’s 2-A championship game, won by the Brahmas.
