MCA, Universal City, said it is combining its records and music groups into a new unit to be called MCA Music Entertainment Group. Irving Azoff, currently an MCA vice president and president of the records group, will be president of the new group. As part of the restructuring, the Universal Amphitheatre division will become part of the new Music Entertainment Group.
In addition to the records and amphitheater units, the group will consist of MCA Music Publishing, Facility Merchandising and Front Line Management, a talent management firm.
