BANGKOK, Thailand — A man dressed in a camouflage uniform hurled a hand grenade from a taxi at the departure terminal of Bangkok’s Don Muang Airport on Thursday, injuring three people.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, police said.
The grenade exploded by an information desk located outside the terminal. It left a small hole in the sidewalk, shattered windows and sprayed the terminal building and a Thai Airlines limousine with shrapnel.
Two security guards and an airport employee sustained minor cuts, police said.
The incident occurred before passengers began arriving to board outgoing flights.
Don Muang Airport is a major transit stop for flights to and from Southeast Asia.
