Superior Court Judge Richard Huffman on Tuesday postponed for a second time a decision on the fate of Debra Sue Robles, the 28-year-old El Cajon woman who pleaded guilty in March to murdering her two disabled sons.

Huffman rescheduled the case for June 3 to give attorney Frank Nageotte time to review the case. Huffman has appointed Nageotte to meet with Robles and help determine whether she was mentally competent when she pleaded guilty.

Huffman questioned Robles’ competency earlier this month after the San Diego County district attorney’s office produced a psychiatric report that concluded Robles was legally insane when she killed her children.

The psychiatrist’s office delivered the report to the district attorney two days after Huffman sentenced Robles to 30 years to life in prison. Last week, Huffman revoked the sentence and appointed attorney Elisabeth Semel to review the case. Nageotte said he was appointed to take Semel’s place because Semel had other obligations.
